Olympia, Greece was where the ancient games were staged from 776 BC through 393 AD. Olympia was also an ancient Greek sanctuary in the Peloponnese region in southern Greece. The city's ruins include extensive athletic training center's, a stadium, and temples dedicated to the Gods such as Hera and Zeus.
